Who can sell on DJUD?+
Students and recent graduates of art, fashion and design schools, with a creator account. The pieces sold must be their own work.
How do I contact a creator or negotiate the price?+
On a piece's page, “Ask a question” opens a conversation with its creator, and “Make an offer” suggests a price (at least half the listed price). For your safety, contact details and outside payment methods can't be exchanged: everything happens on DJUD. You can report or block a member from the conversation.
I represent a house, a brand, a studio or a gallery: how can I spot students?+
Create your house's page (Opportunities menu, Directory tab, then “Create your house's page”). The DJUD team checks that you really represent it; the page then goes public and, on a student's profile, “Follow for your house” adds them to your followed talents. To write to them, “Propose a collaboration”: internship, commission, collaboration or exhibition, in DJUD messages, without sharing contact details.
How do I tell houses I'm looking for an internship or work-study?+
On your profile, “Looking for an internship, work-study, a first job?”: choose what you're looking for (internship, work-study, job, freelance, commissions), from when, where, and add a sentence. An “Open to opportunities” badge appears, for everyone or only for verified houses, as you prefer. You can turn it off or clear everything at any time.
How does the talent radar work?+
For verified houses only, the radar shows every student on DJUD with their latest work. You can search by name or craft, discipline, school, class year, city and availability (students “Open to opportunities”, by type: internship, work-study, job…). From a card, the house follows the student, adds them to its private shortlists with a note, or offers them an internship or a collaboration. Shortlists and notes are visible only to the house.
How do I apply for an internship, work-study or job offer?+
In the Opportunities menu, “Jobs” tab, verified houses post their internships, work-study places, jobs, freelance assignments and commissions. On a job, “Apply in one click”: the house receives your profile, your latest work and, if you like, a note (without contact details). You follow your application in “My applications”: sent, seen, shortlisted or not selected, and you're notified of the answer. If the house shortlists you, it writes to you in your messages. You can withdraw your application at any time.
I'm a house: how do I post a job and read applications?+
Once your house is verified, “Post a job” on your page or in the “Jobs” tab of the Opportunities menu: the type (internship, work-study, job, assignment, commission), the role, the disciplines, the location, the start, the duration, the pay and a deadline if needed. You're notified of each application in your activity; the job's page shows each student with their portfolio and message. “Shortlist” or “Decline” notifies them, “Reach out” opens the conversation. A job can be kept as a draft, closed or deleted.
How do I enter a brief or a contest?+
In the Opportunities menu, “Briefs and contests” tab: a verified house launches a creative challenge (reinventing a piece, designing a poster…), with a deadline and often a prize. “Take part”: you choose a published project from your portfolio and add a note if you like. Until the deadline, only the house sees your entry and you can change project or withdraw it. Then the house publishes its results: winners, finalists and mentions, and all entries become visible on the brief's page. You're notified, and an award shows on your profile.
I'm a house: how do I launch a brief?+
Once your house is verified, “Launch a brief” on your page or in the “Briefs and contests” tab of the Opportunities menu: the challenge, the brief's text, what to submit, the prize, the disciplines, a cover image and a deadline. Each entry arrives in your activity; the entries page shows the project, the student and their note. You choose winners, finalists and mentions (private until then), then “Publish the results”, with a word from the jury: it's final, and each participant is notified.
What does “Houses recruiting here” mean on a school's page?+
These are the verified houses following the work of at least one student of the school, with the number of students they follow.
A house follows my work: what does that mean?+
A house verified by the DJUD team spotted your profile and follows it: you're notified in your activity, and it appears on your profile (“Followed by …”). It can then offer you an internship or a collaboration by message. A house seems suspicious? Write to us at djud.contact@gmail.com.
What does the logo next to a name mean?+
It's the logo of their school: the person said on their profile that they study (or studied) there. A click on the school opens its page, with its students, its posts and their pieces.
Who can comment, and what can I write?+
Any signed-in member can like, comment and reply. Comments are public: no email, phone number or link (write a private message instead). The author of a post can delete the comments under it, and anyone can report a comment.
What is the certificate of authenticity?+
Each piece sold on DJUD comes with a certificate, like a diploma: the piece (photo, category, year, materials, characteristics, rarity), the student who made it, their school and class year, the buyer's name, the date and the student's handwritten signature. The student signs it before shipping (their signature, drawn once, goes on all their certificates). The buyer finds it in their order and can download it as a PDF. Its code and QR code let anyone check that it's genuine.
How do I pay for a piece?+
On the piece's page, “Buy”: choose the relay point and pay by card on Stripe's secure page. DJUD holds your money until you confirm receipt; a problem? Report it from your order before confirming.
Are my photos public as soon as I upload them?+
No. Photos uploaded for a post stay private until you share it. If you delete the post, its photos are deleted too.
How do I edit or remove a piece?+
From
your profile, open the piece then “Edit the piece”: you can change everything or delete it.
I forgot my password.+
Use
Forgot password: a link is emailed to you to choose a new one.
How do I close my account or get my data?+
In your
settings, “My data” section: “Download my data” gives you everything DJUD keeps about you, and “Delete my account” closes it permanently. See also the
privacy policy.
Why are some posts marked “Example”?+
They're demonstration content (fictional students, royalty-free photos), until the community fills DJUD.
